Certification, bridge and recertification courses will be held next in January and February 2008 in Peachtree City. The web site to sign up for these courses is www.gareferees.com. The courses have been approved by the state and the dates are listed below. You may take any course at any location on any date but we host these courses here in Peachtree City for your convenience.
In order to register for the bridge or recertification course you must have your 16-digit USSF number and password. Please do not request this information from the Director of Referees. He does NOT have it. If you need help, go to www.gareferees.com, click on Help on the left side of the page and then click on Submit a Ticket. They will assist you in retrieving your USSF number and resetting your password.
In order to referee any games after January 1st your badge MUST say 2008. This can be done with any of these courses.
Entry Level Course - Grade 9
You must attend both days of instruction. Limited seats therefore register with state immediately. The cost for the course is $55.

Entry Level Grade 9 Course Schedule

This course will be held at JC Booth Middle School on Friday, February 8th, from 6:00pm - 9:00pm, and Saturday, February 9th, from 9:00am - 4:00pm. You must attend all nine hours of instruction.
PTCYSA Referees must be 12 years old when the season starts. PTCYSA will reimburse $30 for Grade 9 referees after 10 games are completed with PTCYSA.
Referee Upgrade/Bridge Class - Grade 9 to Grade 8
You must attend both days of instruction.
This course is for grade 9 referees who want to upgrade to grade 8. You should have served as a grade 9 referee for at least one season prior to attending this class. Enrollment is limited so register online early. The cost for the course is $60.

Grade 8 Upgrade/Bridge Class

This course will be held at JC Booth Middle School on Friday, January 25th, from 6:00pm - 9:00pm, and Saturday, January 26th, from 9:00am - 4:00pm. You must attend all nine hours of instruction.
Beginning January 1, 2007, PTCYSA will reimburse $30 for Grade 8 referees after 10 games are completed with PTCYSA. This applies only to those referees who take the bridge course in 2007 or later.
Re-certification Course - Grade 8 or 9
In order to recertify as a referee you need to complete 5 hours of annual training. This course satisfies that requirement. Without the required training you will not be recertified. If you cannot attend this class, go to the www.gareferees.com web site and other recertification course locations will be listed. Cost for Grade 8 is $55. Cost for Grade 9 is $50.
This course will be held at JC Booth Middle School on Sunday, January 27th, from 1:00pm - 6:00pm. You must attend all five hours of instruction.
